Hi! I'm Hita, a fourth year PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania advised by Professor Andrew Head. My research is supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
My work is in largely in the intersection between human-computer interaction and natural language processing. I build tools to support organizing, contextualizing, and reasoning about complex information. Currently, I am interested in drawing from human processes to better guide language models to perform complex reasoning tasks in multi-document, multi-step reasoning settings.
Previously, I attended Carnegie Mellon University where I studied information systems and computer science. During my time at CMU, I worked with Rohan Padhye at the Program Analysis, Software Testing, and Applications (PASTA) Research Group.
Please reach out if anything you see sounds interesting!
