About me

Hi! I'm Hita, a third year PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania advised by Professors Andrew Head and Kevin Johnson. My research is supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Previously, I attended Carnegie Mellon University where I studied information systems and computer science. During my time at CMU, I worked with Rohan Padhye at the Program Analysis, Software Testing, and Applications (PASTA) Research Group.

My work is largely in the intersection between human-computer interaction and AI. I build tools to support organizing, contextualizing, and reasoning about complex information. Currently, I am interested in developing AI agents to effectively answer complex medical questions.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, singing Indian classical Carnatic music, and teaching yoga classes. Please reach out if anything you see sounds interesting!
